Membership

If you think you might be interested in becoming a member of Kingston Spiritualist Church, we should suggest that you attend the church services that are held twice a week, get to know the church committee, other church attendees and members as well as familiarise yourself with the type of activities and groups we run.

Our church is affiliated to the Spiritualist National Union (SNU) and therefore we abide by the Seven Principles of Spiritualism. They are displayed on the church wall next to the reception.

After attending our church regularly for a period of say six months, you should have a good idea what to become a Spiritualist means. If you still wish to become a member, please talk to a committee member who will be happy to assist you.

By choosing to become a member you are committing to fully accept and embrace Spiritualism as your religion.

We strongly suggest that you check the SNU website www.snu.org.uk and read some of their suggested books. Our church has new and second-hand books available that could be useful.

Please note that applying for associate membership does not mean it will be automatically approved. The application must be voted on and approved by the church committee.

If the application is approved, after several months there will be an induction course and in due course, if wanted, upgrading to full membership at a special ceremony.

You do not have to be a member to attend Kingston Spiritualist Church. You will be very welcome at our services, healing, open development groups or any special event such as dine with spirit or the church fayres.

Annual membership fee in 2023 is £12
